Much happening all over again

I'm writing right now from my bed in my room in the apartment I live in with three roommates in Berlin. I've lived here for two and a half years, with seven different roommates (only one stayed consistent the whole time). In one month's time minus two days, I'll be moving out. Closing this chapter. Two and a half years is also how long I spent living in Seattle, and recently it's really struck me that I'll likely never live there again. I seem to have made a habit of moving away from a place as soon as I've finally started to settle into it.

My bedroom is messy right now, like it always is, but tonight it's a special mess. Tonight is the beginning of my packing. While I was at work today, I came up with a plan to wash all my wool sweaters in the evening. I didn't do that. It's 10:11pm right now and I've watched some youtube videos and eaten a portion and a half of green jell-o and some salami. I'm not taking probiotics tonight, because I decided to go the every-other-day route, because buying one package of 10 is cheaper than two packages. Over the weekend, we went to a wedding and I got a lot of bug bites and one of them is a particularly special bug bite. I either was bitten by a tick and scratched it out while drunk and am at risk of lyme disease, or it's an inflamed spider or mosquito or other, more common, bug bite. After much encouragement, I went to the doctor's office and she sent me to the pharmacy for 20 day's worth of antibiotics (it's the same medication for either possibility, but if it's just an inflamed other bug bite you only have to take them for a week. She gave me the longer time in case it was a tick). I'm not allowed any dairy products around lunchtime because that's when I take the antibiotics, and I need to be extra careful and wear my sunscreen because the antibiotics make me more sensitive to the sun.

I've reached the point in my employment where I feel irritated that people still want me to do my job every day. I told them ages ago that I'll be leaving soon, so I don't see why they still expect me to work! I should get to clock in and just hang out! Better yet, I should get my whole last month of pay without having to show up. But alas!
